NOVOSIBIRSK STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY
The 57th exhibition pavilion of the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" becomes a site to present Russian education, namely Days of Pedagogical Universities of Russia. The event is held on the initiative of the Ministry of Education of Russia. The NSPU was introduced to the audience at the platform “K.D. Ushinsky’s Russian Pedagogical School is a national treasure of Russia”. In total, four pedagogical universities are represented here: NSPU, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Lipetsk State Pedagogical University named after. P.P. Semenov-Tyan-Shansky and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after. K.D. Ushinsky.
Presenting NSPU, Alexey Dmitrievich especially emphasized two anniversary figures: Novosibirsk’s 130th anniversary and NSPU’s 88th history as the most important link in the Siberian education system. The university has always strived to meet the requirements of the region, the challenges of the time, and also to meet the high standards set by Novosibirsk itself which is known as the city of records, the largest center of academic and industrial science and the third largest city in Russia.
– Following educational trends, we are constantly evolving so that we can meet the needs of the region. We have a highly qualified teaching staff, including dozens of scientists from research institutes. Many famous personalities, such as Stal Anatolyevich Shmakov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and creator of the Orlyonok camp, are our alumni. NSPU today is a modern, rapidly developing university, which includes 10 institutes, 3 faculties, a branch in the city of Kuibyshev, research centers and laboratories, and student clubs and societies. About 13 thousand students study here; the university implements more than 300 undergraduate and graduate programs, - noted Alexey Dmitrievich.
In addition to the presentation of pedagogical universities, the “K.D. Ushinsky’s Russian Pedagogical School is a national treasure of Russia” site also holds master classes. The track of “From the Traditions of Domestic Education to the Educational Practices of Modern Russia” welcomed an open lecture-dialogue conducted by Evgenia Borisovna Marushchak, Vice-rector for Regional Interaction and Additional Education of the NSPU, “Technologies for Interaction with the Parent Community”.
Moreover, another four classes were conducted by the NSPU representatives on the track “From the Didactics of K.D. Ushinsky to the New Didactics of the Digital Era". Thus, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Preschool Education at the NSPU Institute of Childhood Anna Yuryevna Zverkova, finalist of the “League of Lecturers” competition and head of the project that won the “Healthy University” competition, gave a lecture “Informal Education of Teachers in Social Networks: Generating Health-Oriented Content and Promoting a Professional Brand”. Director of the NSPU Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies Alexander Vladimirovich Malkov conducted a master class “New Didactic Solutions: Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Schools”. An engineer of the 3D modeling and prototyping laboratory of the NSPU Technopark Grigory Petrovich Mylyev prepared a master class “New Didactic Solutions: Advanced Production Technologies in Schools”, Deputy Head of the Higher Education Department of the UMU NSPU Vera Viktorovna Bakaeva gave a master class “New Didactic Solutions: Interactive Anatomy at School.”
The presentation of NSPU at VDNKh will last two days.
