Educational Siberia: I Want to be a Teacher!

On the final day of the exhibition, the Department of Education of the Novosibirsk City Hall organized a parent-teacher meeting “How to Help a Child Choose a Future Career: Tips for Parents”. The moderator was the head of the department, Ramil Mirgazyanovich Akhmetgareev. Delegates from universities, schools and the parent community took part in the meeting. NSPU was represented by the head of the Department of Career Guidance, Training and Recruitment of Applicants Elena Ivanovna Kavaler.

On December 2, the NSPU information stand was visited by the Minister of Education of the Novosibirsk Region, Maria Nailievna Zhafiarova. She talked with the volunteers and noted that they, as young teachers, are very welcome in schools in the region that are ready to provide them with support in various aspects.

The updated exhibition “Educational Siberia” included a large number of schoolchildren. Many of them are interested in entering a pedagogical university. Some high school students are considering the teaching profession for the first time, while others have already decided to study at NSPU.

– I decided to enter NSPU after attending your University Open Day. I was really delighted! We went on interesting excursions and talked with teachers. There was a wonderful atmosphere. I was impressed by the laboratory equipment and other facilities. This is especially important to me because I want to study at a university equipped with all necessary tools for successful studies. I'm looking forward to studying in such an inspiring place! – said student of Secondary School No. 214 Anastasia Lebedeva.

– From my perspective, the teaching profession is unique. It’s not only about sharing knowledge, but also sharing experience and inspiring other people. My mother is a teacher, so I can easily see both pros and cons of this profession. Despite the difficulties, I am passionate about the idea of shaping the personality of students. It gives a special vibe to this profession,” - shared her thoughts Vasilina Mikhailova, a student of Secondary School No. 187.

– I have always dreamt about non-degree education, I want to become a counselor and work with children in a camp. My goal is to become a methodologist, to create interesting educational programs for the younger generation. This is not just a profession, but also an opportunity to help children develop and make their time at camp unforgettable and useful! – said Veronika Bobrova, a student of Technical Lyceum-Boarding School No. 128.

More than 140 educational institutions and companies from 11 regions of Russia took part in the exhibition “Educational Siberia”. These are Siberian cities, as well as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Minsk (Republic of Belarus). More than 12 thousand people visited the exhibition.
