NSPU students are semi-finalists of the "Flagships of Education" competition

The All-Russian professional competition “Flagships of education. Students” is aimed at finding, developing and supporting promising university and college students. The project will help young people to develop competencies that are necessary for their professional profile as a teacher. The participants are expected to communicate and receive feedback from experts and the professional community.

– I believe the future of the Russian education and the country itself is in hands of those talented guys who are just now studying to become teachers. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to improve the quality of teacher training, create modern conditions for young people to acquire relevant and in-demand knowledge and competencies, and to implement innovative projects for them. I am sure that this unique competitive experience will let students show their best, discover new horizons, learn a lot of new and useful things from other participants and more experienced colleagues. I congratulate all participants on the successful completion of this important stage and wish everyone to get the most out of the competition in terms of new skills, personal and professional development, - commented Alexander Bugaev, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.

Applications for participants started on November 17, 2021 and lasted until January 23, 2022. During this time, almost 27,000 university and college students from 84 regions of Russia registered on the project website. According to the results of the remote testing, which included functional literacy, general cultural and subject tests, 804 semi-finalists were announced, 100 students from each federal district.

  • Maria Yarmanova, 3rd year student of the NSPU Institute of Childhood, “Speech therapy” major.

District semi-finals will be held in all federal districts of the country. 150 strongest contestants from all over Russia will meet in the final. The winners of the competition will participate in educational programs and internships at the All-Russian children's centers "Smena" and "Ocean", they will also be presented with gifts from the competition partners. Winners will receive post-project support. A new community of winners, finalists and semi-finalists will be formed based on the results of the competition. Community members will work with mentors from among the winners and experts of the “Education Flagships. School". The project laureates will also be able to go on tourist trips around Russia free of charge as part of the “More than a Journey” project.

Reference. All-Russian competitions of pedagogical excellence, held by the Ministry of Education of Russia and the presidential platform "Russia is a Land of Opportunities", brought together school principals, class teachers, subject teachers, university and college students, as well as leading experts. There are several competitions in the series "Flagships of Education": "Flagships of Education. School”, “Flagships of education. Students”, “Flagships of Supplementary education” and “Flagships of education. Municipality". Professional All-Russian competition “Flagships of education. Students” is implemented within the framework of the federal project “Social lifts for everyone” of the national project “Education”.
