NSPU Master’s Degree Student All-Russian competition “Pedagogical Debut – 2024” Absolute Winner

“Pedagogical Debut” is an all-Russian competition aimed at unleashing the personal potential of young teachers. The competition consists of several tests conducted in different categories so that the participants can demonstrate their work experience in an educational institution.

The competition was organized in two phases: the first phase was distant and included writing essays, designing educational projects and conducting lessons on specific topics. The second phase was face-to-face, it also included multiple tests and assignments depending on the nomination.

According to the results of the competition, the title of Absolute Winner in the “Young Teachers” nomination was won by Alexander Sergeevich Shmidko. In the “Young Managers” nomination, Irina Vladimirovna Dobrovolskaya became the winner, and Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova became the laureate.

– In my “Young Teachers” category there were 4 tests: public speaking, self-presentation, conducting a lesson and solving pedagogical cases. In total, 84 people took part in this part. As a result, the jury chose 10 winners. Then, in order to identify the absolute winner, they gave us another task – to run a panel discussion, where we had to demonstrate our professional knowledge and competencies, show our perspectives on the essence of education and much more. So, that’s how I became the absolute winner, - says Alexander Sergeevich Shmidko.

– I must admit, the competitive tests in the “Young Managers” category were not easy. We had to prepare public speeches on topics that were supposed to facilitate further discussions. They didn’t necessarily have to be something related to education. Although there are many such topics at the moment, but I chose to speak about the need to protect the status of teachers. The next test was a speech on the topic “I’m good at this” aiming at identifying and analyzing our strengths. I chose the topic of crisis management in education, - noted Irina Vladimirovna Dobrovolskaya.

It’s worth noting that the laureate of the “Young Managers” nomination, Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova, also became the winner of the scholarship competition of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation Charity Competition.
