NOVOSIBIRSK STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY
On April 24, the official website VKontakte published a list of Top 10 universities in the Siberian Federal District according to the local RAEX university ranking. Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University took second place in this list, confirming its high reputation and importance in the educational environment of the region.
The ranking analyzed regional and specialized universities based on their educational and scientific potential, as well as their impact on the social environment. All universities of the Russian Federation except for filial branches of the universities and some specialized institutions were included in the long list.
Places in the ranking were distributed according to the final scores determined by the sum of points in three rating factors: “Education” (45% weight), “Science” (25% weight) and “Society” (30% weight). After analyzing the data, universities that received the maximum score in their federal districts were equal to 100 points.
This year, international indicators were less important in the ranking increasing the importance of assessing national and regional aspects of the activities of universities. Moreover, more categories of winners of the student Olympiads “I am a Professional” have been included in the ranking.
The current rating indicators demonstrate that NSPU has confirmed its high quality education and scientific positions. This achievement is obviously thanks to the efforts of the teaching staff, researchers and students of the university.
