Anton's result is 3 minutes 44.49 seconds. Another Russian sportsman, Alexander Kostin, was the fastest at this distance; Ruay Djebabli from Tunisia took silver.
- It was a highly competitive race, and I finished just 0.01 seconds ahead of the Australian runner Jared Clifford. The level of competition was intense, which is why the results were so close. I feel satisfied, though there’s also a bittersweet feeling because I couldn't defend my championship title from Tokyo 2020, - Anton Kulyatin shared in an interview with the Match-TV channel regarding his performance.
The athlete's coach, Nikolay Borisovich Khalukhaev, a teacher at the FFK NSPU and Honored Trainer of Russia, expressed his gratitude with heartfelt congratulations: “THANK YOU for achieving another set of medals in the major competitions over the past four years! THANK YOU for your enduring dedication to the sport! For so many years, your impressive results have brought us joy! THANK YOU for the remarkable race you delivered today, filled with speed and excitement for fans as the finish line approached! THANK YOU for the emotions you gave us! This is precisely what drives us as coaches!”
As a result, Anton Kulyatin now holds two bronze medals from the Paralympic Games in Paris. He won his first medal on August 31 in the 5000-meter race, where Alexander Kostin finished in second place. Jared Clifford was initially awarded third but was later disqualified by the judges for rule violations.
We extend our congratulations to Anton and wish him success in both his athletic endeavors and all other aspects of life!
