Together Towards Tomorrow: NSPU's Educational Strategy Initiatives

On January 15, a working meeting took place at NSPU, chaired by the acting Rector of the university, Sergey Aleksandrovich Nelyubov, to discuss the preparation of proposals for the Strategy.

- The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation have tasked all pedagogical universities across the country with engaging in this initiative. Fifteen working groups within the Ministry of Education have prepared project materials across various areas, which are currently under discussion at the regional and university levels. By January 17, proposals for each area must be reviewed and prepared at NSPU, and by January 20, they are to be submitted to the Ministry of Education of the Novosibirsk Region. Our aim is to actively engage in discussions regarding these proposals, involving a broad range of staff, experts, and students from the university, so that we can review all submitted proposals during a strategic session, - stated Sergey Aleksandrovich Nelyubov.

Among the areas in which the university’s expert groups are actively engaged are “Pre-school Education”, “Higher Education”, “Additional Vocational Education”, “Quality of Education”, “General Education”, “Digitalisation”, “Psychological Aspects of the Educational Process”, “Management Models and Economics of Education”, “Future Perspectives”, “Education Export”, “Recreation and Health Improvement”, “Continuity of Education and Quantitative Indicators”, and others.

NSPU began discussions of the proposals regarding the Strategy immediately following the meeting, where experts deliberated on proposals in the area of “Education Export”.

For reference: President Vladimir Putin tasked the Government of the Russian Federation, in collaboration with the Presidential Administration and the Russian Academy of Sciences, to submit a draft Strategy for the Development of Education in Russia through to 2036, with a vision extending to 2040, by 1st March 2025.

- Currently, representatives from all 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are involved in the development of the Strategy. In total, there are over 650 experts participating, including individuals from the education sector, the business community, development institutions, government bodies, as well as scientists, public figures, and parents. This represents an unprecedented scale of collaboration in the modern history of Russia. Education serves as the foundation for the unity of Russian society. Our aim is to establish a contemporary and adaptable educational system that will address the country's needs for achieving sovereignty and leadership. During the development process, particular emphasis is placed on feedback from citizens, - highlighted Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Nikolaevich Chernyshenko, during a meeting on the Strategy's development in December 2024.

Anyone can participate in the development of the Strategy, including schoolchildren and students. The survey titled “Future Education in Russia 2024” is available on the State Services portal until 1st March 2025. Here, any participant can review the proposals put forward by experts and share their thoughts on which areas of education should be prioritised for the country.
