In their research, the university’s scientists explored popular topics such as examining the processes of education and the development of students’ personalities, as well as creating innovative models for training teachers to work in contemporary conditions.
“One of NSPU’s primary objectives is to support the attainment of the national development goals of the Russian Federation, with particular attention to the needs of the region and its founders. This primarily involves the establishment of relevant research topics aligned with strategic priorities”, stated Acting Rector of NSPU, Sergey Nelyubov.
The scientific research conducted under the state assignments focused on various areas, including the utilisation of modern infrastructure in Biology teaching, the development of an effective model for teaching Russian in China, enhancements in Physical education methods, the advancement of digital competencies in students’ training, the promotion of creative self-actualisation among students with disabilities, and the enhancement of the language's lexicographic base. Two studies, titled “Designing a Functional Model of Integration in the School-University System Using Technopark Resources for the Implementation of Modern Biological Education” and “Optimisation of the Methodology for Health-Enhancing Physical Education Classes” were featured in the Atlas of Best Practices 2024.
“As our colleagues from the professional community have pointed out, NSPU’s scientific endeavours align with the demand for research outcomes and focus on addressing topical issues. The university’s research team is keen on expanding their developments and creating sought-after educational products”, highlighted NSPU Vice-Rector for Research, Tatyana Romm.
She stated that in 2025, Novosibirsk Pedagogical University intends to focus on 14 scientific topics commissioned by the Russian Ministry of Education. Among these areas are the development of parental competence, continuous Art education as a resource for career guidance, the advancement of mentoring practices, and the instruction of schoolchildren experiencing difficulties in learning Mathematics, and others.
In 2024, NSPU carried out research for the first time on behalf of the Ministry of Education of the Novosibirsk Region. Five topics were identified regarding scientific and methodological support for teachers working with migrant children, career guidance in schools, the prevention of bullying and suicidal behaviour among minors, and comprehensive support for children with autism spectrum disorder. This work is set to continue in 2025.
