The trade turnover between the two nations surpassed $240 billion in 2024, and projections for 2025 indicate even greater figures, underscoring the strength of our partnership.
Mr. Sun Lailin also held a meeting with Ekaterina Igorevna Barancheeva, the head of the Department of International Affairs and Academic Mobility at NSPU. During their discussion, they explored opportunities for collaboration between NSPU and universities in the People's Republic of China.
- Our students shared their impressions of living and studying in Novosibirsk and emphasized that they feel very comfortable thanks to the care and support provided by the NSPU teachers and administration staff. The university plays a significant role in the advancement of pedagogical education in Russia, with many of its graduates contributing across the nation. In recent years, the collaboration between your university and China has reached impressive levels. We are keen to further develop educational partnerships with NSPU, especially as the relations between our countries continue to improve each year, - Mr. Sun Lailin remarked on the outcomes of his visit to NSPU.

NSPU is a member of the Chinese-Russian Union of Higher Pedagogical Educational Institutions. It has established exchange programs with seven universities in China, and an agreement with the Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology (Zhuhai) is in the works for signing. As of April 17, 2025, there are 38 students, postgraduates, preparatory faculty students, and interns from the People's Republic of China studying at NSPU, while 37 NSPU students are currently enrolled at universities in China.
