Rectors of the largest pedagogical universities and leaders in the media sector discussed their priorities regarding universities’ information policies. The report on NSPU’s presence in the public information space was delivered by Acting Rector Sergey Aleksandrovich Nelyubov. He emphasised the importance of the university’s open information policy, highlighting the ability for direct communication via social media and the rector’s online reception on the university website. He also spoke of the significant work undertaken by the university’s experts, presenting research commissioned by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, which is supported by key regional media outlets. In short, he addressed how to integrate the university into a unified information space and effectively develop the media presence of a pedagogical university.
In his address, Sergey Aleksandrovich placed particular emphasis on fostering a value-based perspective towards events in the country’s educational sector by incorporating news from the education field and pedagogical universities. He cited the “Immortal Regiment” campaign, which was launched on the university’s media platforms, as an example. Since 10 April, the official website and local display screens have been showcasing photographs of relatives and friends of students and staff at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, including veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the Special Military Operation, home front workers, and children of wartime. The memory of generations knows no bounds, and currently, there are approximately 300 photographs featured on the university’s resources.
