Our region was represented by students from the NSPU Department of Physical Culture: Yaroslava Kolosova, Anastasia Klimova, Darya Zherebtsova, and Alina Mutik. Additionally, Evgeniya Monakhova, a student from the NSPU Institute of Childhood, and Anastasia Samukina, a student from the Institute of Culture and Youth Policy NSPU, also participated in the competition. The team was coached by Alexandra Konstantinovna Dubrovina, a senior lecturer in the NSPU Department of Physical Education.
The competition proved to be successful and rewarding for our students. The young women delivered outstanding performances, earning prestigious titles and awards for both the Novosibirsk Region and the University.
- I didn't expect to reach the final in my first Russian Championship. When I saw the results, I was really overjoyed. There were no participants my age in the final; all the athletes were older and more experienced, so it was a special honour for me to compete alongside titled champions. I met the standard for the Master of Sports of Russia, scoring significantly more points than required. The competition itself was exceptionally well-organised, and the atmosphere in Omsk is always incredible. This city feels like home to me, as we often come here for national competitions, as well as those in the Siberian Federal District. I am grateful to my coaches for this achievement. At this country’s main event, I experienced a tremendous amount of positive emotions, - said Alina Mutik.
The students showed high professionalism in the following nominations:
"Gymnastic platform": Yaroslava Kolosova, Anastasia Klimova, Evgenia Monakhova, Anastasia Samukina won the gold medal and became champions of Russia.
"Group 5": Yaroslava Kolosova won the silver medal.
"Dance Gymnastics": Daria Zherebtsova and Evgenia Monakhova won the bronze medal.
"Individual Performances of Women": Alina Mutik, 6th place. The young sportswoman also entered the top eight athletes in the country and achieved the standard of Master of Sports of Russia.
"Trio": Alina Mutik, 4th place.
- I’d like to emphasise that the Russian Championship is the most significant competition for athletes. We’ve put in tremendous effort to showcase our best, and the results have exceeded all our expectations! I’d like to congratulate everyone on their successful performances and the awards they have achieved, - remarked the team coach, Alexandra Konstantinovna Dubrovina.
