The opening ceremony of the new laboratory was scheduled to coincide with the events of the 25th Congress of Education Workers of the Novosibirsk Region, several of which were held at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University. Acting Rector Sergey Aleksandrovich Nelyubov welcomed the university’s staff, students, and guests.
- For NSPU, this marks a significant milestone, as future Chemistry teachers and pharmaceutical industry professionals in the region will study, carry out scientific research, and develop their skills in this laboratory, which meets the highest modern standards. We are deeply grateful to our longstanding industrial partner, PFC Obnovlenie, for their collaboration and look forward to continued fruitful cooperation, - emphasized Sergey Aleksandrovich.
Elena Aleksandrovna Biryukova, Director of Production at PFC Obnovlenie (Renewal), highlighted the Department of Chemistry at NSPU’s Institute of Natural and Socio-Economic Sciences for its role in developing a talent pipeline for the industry – ranging from Chemistry teachers to PFC Obnovlenie staff. She also announced that the company intends to oversee the laboratory’s operations.
- We will continue to equip the technology laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, enabling third-year students to immerse themselves in the extensive field of pharmaceutical technologies within the university, – said Elena Aleksandrovna.
As noted by Natalia Valerievna Kandalintseva, Acting Director of the Institute of Social and Economic Sciences at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, the technological laboratory has been equipped in accordance with GMP standards – the regulations setting out requirements for the organisation of production and quality control of medicines for both medical and veterinary use. Aspiring chemists have access to an automatic pH meter, titration units, a digital needle moisture meter, a polarimeter, a rotary vacuum evaporator, fume cupboards, and specialised furniture.
