On 27 May, Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University signed two memorandums of cooperation with prominent universities in the Republic of Indonesia: Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (Yogyakarta) and Prof. K. H. Saifuddin Zuhri State Islamic University (Purwokerto). The online meetings took place as official ceremonies, attended by senior management and academic staff from both institutions.

At the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a monograph on the oldest rock paintings in Mongolia is being prepared for publication under the guidance of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Professor at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Vyacheslav Ivanovich Molodin, who is also the Chief Researcher at the Institute.

Six students from NSPU were selected for the Novosibirsk Region team at the Russian Championship in Sports Aerobics, held in Omsk. The representatives of Novosibirsk Pedagogical University achieved gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Today, a large-scale All-Russian conference for rectors of higher education institutions under the supervision of the Russian Ministry of Education commenced in the heroic city of Sevastopol. The programme was inaugurated with a practical seminar titled “Development and Strengthening of the Self-Identity of a Pedagogical University in the Public Information Space”. During this seminar, rectors of pedagogical universities are addressing matters related to the establishment of a unified information field.

On April 18, Mr. Sun Lailin, the Education Consul at the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg, paid a visit to NSPU. The agenda for the visit included a meeting with Chinese students currently enrolled at NSPU through various exchange programs. Additionally, Mr. Sun explored the Asian Culture Club, where students from IIGSO are studying.

The Russian Ministry of Education has announced the results of the 2024 admission campaign for pedagogical universities across the country. According to official figures, over 225,000 students are currently enrolled in 37 pedagogical universities under the Ministry of Education, with more than 157,000 (70%) receiving their education on a subsidised basis.

In 2024, Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NSPU) conducted scientific research based on six state assignments from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. All the research projects were focused on applied outcomes.

On March 6, a working meeting took place at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University to discuss the establishment of the educational and developmental cluster “My University - My Russia”. This project is being implemented as part of the federal initiative “Teachers and Mentors” within the national project “Youth and Children”. The primary aim of the cluster is to create a comfortable and engaging open space in the hall on the first floor of NSPU’s main building. This area will serve as a recreational zone for students and visitors to the university, while also fulfilling a vital career guidance role for schoolchildren and prospective students attending excursions, master classes, and educational events.
