On 25 August, Acting Rector Sergey Aleksandrovich Nelyubov and Elena Aleksandrovna Biryukova, Director of Production at PFC Obnovlenie (Renewal), inaugurated a new technological laboratory for aspiring chemists and pharmacists – a collaborative venture between the university and its industrial partner.
Yulia Gennadyevna Bogdanova, a graduate of the NSPU Institute of History, Humanities and Social Education, has been selected as one of the 35 semi-finalists in the fourth season of the all-Russian television programme “Klassnaya Tema!”

Varvara Afanasyevna Bulgakova was a correspondent student at the Pedagogical Institute during the 1940s and worked as a German teacher at School No. 42 in Novosibirsk (now Gymnasium No. 1). Her documents were uncovered while working on the IIGSO NSPU project titled “Bridging Affairs and Fates”.
During their archaeological fieldwork in 2025, IIGSO students from NSPU, under the supervision of the NSPU professor Andrey Pavlovich Borodovsky, produced a new edition of the archaeological map of Novosibirsk, marking the first update in over 30 years. As a matter of fact, the previous version of the map had become considerably outdated due to numerous recent discoveries of archaeological sites.
On 20 June, NSPU held a meeting with international students who have completed their pre-university preparatory programme. The event was attended by students from Croatia, China, Cameroon, Algeria and other countries, alongside faculty members, specialists and volunteer mentors who supported the students throughout the academic year. On 18 June, a delegation from Xinjiang University (China) held discussions with the representatives of the NSPU International Affairs and Academic Mobility Department, the Institute of Philology, Mass Media and Psychology, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages regarding new formats for enhancing cooperation between the universities.
On 29 May, the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Education approved the network project “Continuity in the Development and Implementation of Mentoring Practices at Different Levels of Education”, leading to NSPU being recognised as an innovative platform of the Russian Academy of Education.
